A wonderful surprise parcel from Alex in Japan....Pocky, two Japanese craft books and the wool ( and pattern) to make this beret which I once admired on her blog! Lucky me ( I really must finish the baby's blanket before I indulge in crocheting myself the beret...)
And for those of you who have asked, a look at the 34 and a half weeks in progress project....not the best shots but it's a lot harder than I thought taking pictures of your own belly! ( The haircut only happened last night- usually I cut off all my hair at about week 16- I just got so bored with pulling it back .Time for a change!)
All goes well although I have reached the stage where Charlotte stopped growing. So it's weekly foetal heart rate monitoring and regular scans for me to keep an eye on things. So really , it could be anytime from now on depending on the scan results.
Oh well, my bag is packed even if the blanket is only halfway there....by all accounts she is going to be on the small size so maybe half a blanket will do!
That's the most perfect and sweet bump! Just like the new lady will be! :-)

Great pics, and I like the haircut. BTW, I've discovered that the way to take a picture of yourself with a digital camera is to hold the camera so you can see the digital image in the mirror - look at that in the mirror to frame the shot - it works very well for face shots, but I haven't tried to do a body shot.

Oh yeah, once upon a time there was a beret... took me only about 15 months to mail this parcel to you...
You have the nicest bump, Marianne, looks so cute!
Take good care of yourself.

How I would have loved to have such a neat little package at 34 weeks when I was pregnant with my third, or my first for that matter! You look fantastic, and love the haircut.

Myyy what a lovely neat baby bump you have - Ohh how I wish I had been so tidy looking with my babies - all the best for a safe delivery. I love the beret you are to crochet - what a fab project to do in hospital - with one of my deliveries I knitted a pair of bed socks for an adult that I adapted from the baby patterns - gosh that were the days ... ha ha of course we spent a week in hospital in those days but we needed to when you had a houseful to go home too...
