How beautiful! I just got interested in needle work myself. So far just a lot of running stitches and chain stitch! Is that paper that you have the picture of the horse you are crewel-ing? That would be lovely for embroidery work.


Ok, on closer examination it's fabric. What stitch do you use to keep it all from unraveling once you cut it?? That is so neat!


Charlotte is such a number two !! My Alice is exactly the same. I think they get an extra spoonful of the stubborn, I-can-do-it-all-on-my-very-own gene. And don't feel bad about the blanket. Alice is in a bed and still waiting for her cot quilt.


what wonderful blankets. i love the idea of making a blanket like this but since baby number one is almost a year i may need to get on it.... it's funny like you said we have a lot in common, right now i am working on embroidering a pillow as a wedding gift.
