better than a dart board....
How we decide ( or try to decide) on names for the addition to the household....
We often find new names added by whoever has been visiting.
A name may have been crossed off, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's off the list.
Or maybe it does.
Definitely not Mabel, Odette or Saffron. Or Darcey.
And I once had a cat called Tabitha.
Some days I wake up and find I'm not partial to anything that's up there.
Small but heavy rock is looking good at the moment.
My cat is called Tabitha. She is a seventeen year old temperamental tortoiseshell!

I do like the idea of the names on the door. My two girls are called Caitlin and Eilish (pronounced eye-lish) - maybe add those up there too ;-)

Maggie or Violet are nice names :) When I hear those you can't think of anything other than a nice person :)

Gosh, you came up with a bunch of beautiful names. Looks different to choose even from here, far away and not pregnant... Florence, Iris, Violet, Grace... all great. The others too :)
Good luck finding the one that makes you all happy!

this is perhaps one of the many reasons I don't want to have another child. The name deciding! Esp boys. I can think of plenty of lovely girl names....but each to their own and everyone has an opinion on a name!
i started even reading out names on the credit roll of movies when I was pregnant, just to get some ideas.
best of luck Marianne.

ohh, good luck with that one! i had so many names i loved when i was pregnant, but the hard part was convincing tom of any of them! he wasn't having a bar of my idea of calling our first 'claude'. hmm, perhaps he was right after all.
i really like your list- especially the name iris. it's my favourite.

I have a Darcy Kate. One very cool customer! She's 4. Has a few physical challenges - but is such a beautiful, independent, capable, headstrong girl - she will do fine! And her name suits her - Darcy or Darcey as a name has attitude! For more info - she features on my blog. BTW - been lurking all year - and when I saw your name dilemma - thought it a good sign to say hi! I am a friend of Tiels here in Brisbane!
All the best :)
