tiny small things....

I am working on my submission for Morphe II ...well kinda, sorta....I keep getting distracted by new ideas and changing my mind. At present I am into making little tiny dolls - why I don't know, especially when it come to trying to turn through those itty bitty arms....

Small_things

These small gentlemen are far from finished yet but I am finding them quite appealing as is and tempted to stop right here..the tallest is 14cm and the smallest just a bit over 10cm. I have learned that when making little tiny arm and legs that you should avoid fabrics that slip ( yes, I'm talking about you blue boy!). I've got another day or two to decide exactly what I'm going to send off to Adelaide so still plenty of time to change my mind again...

Do you think that there's such a thing as swap karma? The reason I ask, two dogs,  is that I have a growing suspicion that some people sign up for Swap bot swaps, receive packages, etc without ever intending to hold up to their end of the swap.Hopefully the next week or two will prove me wrong and my zakka swap and my softie swap will arrive and I can make profuse public apologies....(surely though, an email to say "I'm running a bit late" or " I just can't do it at the moment, how about later" isn't asking too much? )
That's my little whinge anyway......and I really enjoyed all of the other swaps that I've been involved in.....even if my magic yarn ball still hasn't arrived at Karis's place! If it isn't there by this week I'm going to send another one so finger's crossed it lands safely.

sigh...
i'm sorry that you haven't received your swap
yet from your buddies..that sucks.
and reminds me, i have a swap that needs to
go out...TODAY...ack.

:)

and i think your little men are very handsome indeed, :)

I think you are right about SWap-bot. I think it is not holding up to it's promises. I got skunked twice and I only participated about 5 times. There doesn't seem to be anything happening to the people who don't hold up their end of the bargain either--they are free to sign up again and again. I'm through with that. I hope you have better luck than I did. I prefer to only swap online now with people who have developed some sort of "relationship" with me.
Thanks for the link, btw. I found you in my stats.
;-)

Can I just say that if those people are reading this, they could not have duped a more generous and lovely swapper and they should be ashamed of themselves. But I agree with Snowbear. I have been really, really lucky with all my swaps, but I think the swapbots are a bit hit and miss from what I hear. I think I must have had the good karma going. And there seems to be a thing at the moment with difficult fabric. I am having oilcloth issues. Can't talk about it. Might start to cry again.

Firstly thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog...I will gladly email you the recipe for the berry and buttermilk cake....I've added it to my to do list! *lol*

Your blog looks like it's full of lots of good things and I will be sure to come back and visit again.

I think the scarf you crocheted is fab! I am still trying to teach myself how to crochet (my list gets longer).

p.s. as for swap karma...I hope your goodies arrive soon. I have been pretty lucky in swaps I've participated in...but it's like anything I suppose...always get the minority who spoil it for the others.

Ciao ~ I'll be sure to email the recipe.

ohhh ive signed up to two more SwapBot swaps...time will tell.....swaps sure are fun but have heard some negative remarks about SwapBot!
Cute softies...

Swappers who do not send to their swappees are terrible. It is a miserable experience to not recieve anything, when you have put such a lot of thought into your swap, and have such a lot of anticipation.

Hope your swapper gets themself together, and that you recieve a lovely swap!

Well, if anyone wants to do a swap with me, I'll make sure I send something to you! I have never done one before. I have just joined in a calendar swap but still to make a start..very eraly stages.

Please show us the final dolls Marianne...got to go dinner is on.

sad news about your swaps. i am in the same boat with my magic yarn ball, it is still not here and i have now written it off. how sad is that.

i like your little tiny dolls cant wait to see what is next...
